Welcome to the official site of Project Santa, an annual fundraiser that benefits the South Plainfield Volunteer Fire Department!

We all know Santa is a busy man during the holiday season, but he is taking some time away from the North Pole to help the members of the South Plainfield Fire Department spread some holiday cheer, and help deliver some early Christmas presents to the good boys and girls in the borough of South Plainfield!

DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, AND TO ENSURE THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OUR MEMBERS, FAMILIES, AND BOROUGH RESIDENTS, WE HAVE MADE THE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT DECISION TO CANCEL THIS YEAR'S PROJECT SANTA.

HOWEVER, SANTA IS STILL COMING TO TOWN TO SPREAD SOME HOLIDAY CHEER!

HERE'S HOW IT WILL WORK THIS YEAR:

  • On Saturday, December 19 beginning at 10:00am, SPVFD will be escorting Santa around town on our fire apparatus

  • Santa will maintain his distance and will not be making any stops along the route (Santa needs to be healthy to make his deliveries on Christmas Day!)

  • We encourage residents to come outside and give Santa a wave, or even make a sign to help spread the holiday cheer

  • Donation is not required, but is always appreciated.  Donations can be made on the home page of our website
