MEMBERS OF THE TABERNACLE CHURCH LOCATED AT 1253 NEW MARKET AVENUE IN SOUTH PLAINFIELD, ALONG WITH FM GLOBAL, ARRIVED AT THE FIREHOUSE ON FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 28 TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO BE UTILIZED FOR THE PURCHASE OF SMOKE DETECTORS. THE DETECTORS PURCHASED WILL BE GIVEN OUT TO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH SEVERAL EVENTS IN CONJUNCTION WITH SCHEDULED FIRE DEPARTMENT EVENTS. CHIEF SCALERA ACCEPTED THE GRANT FROM FM GLOBAL REPRESENTATIVE MR JOHN ANTOLA AND SENIOR PASTOR DE'ANDRE SALTER. FIRE COMMISSIONER BENGIVENGA AND ADMINISTRATOR GLENN CULLEN WERE ALSO PRESENT.
