Fire units were operating at a water emergency in the 2100 block of Maple Avenue when they were alerted to a vehicle into a house on Greenwich Street.  Rescue 1 was diverted to the location and Engine 4 responded upon clearing up from the first call.  Arriving fire units located a vehicle that actually drove between two houses and crashed into a lawn ornament in the back yard.  The vehicle also struck and severed a fire hydrant on the curb.  Fire units were able to shut down the curb box and stem the flow of water.  The driver was treated on scene and released by Somerset Medical Center.
