Thursday, January 28, 2010 - Fire units responded to an automatic fire alarm today at the 600 Corporate Court complex. Arriving units were advised that the alarm was due to a power failure. Upon further investigation, it was determined that an electrical failure of a lab exhaust system resulted in chemical fumes being distributed into two labs. Fire units evacuated the building and special called County Hazmat. Occupants provided MSDS sheets consistent with the materials they were using at the time of the power failure. Hazmat arrived and determined that a level "A" entry was needed. This was accomplished and the materials involved were neutralized and secured. Occupants were allowed back into the building around 15:45 hours.
